Prospective students should review information about the Laney Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, application requirements, and the process to apply at Laney Graduate School Admissions.
A complete application to the Laney Graduate School must include these elements by December 15th.

Additional Application Requirements
The Hispanic Studies program requires a writing sample. This can be a paper written for a course, a chapter from a senior or master's thesis, or another publication. Select a finished piece of work that demonstrates your writing skills and also your analytical ability. Make sure it is your best work, preferably on a subject related to your research interests.
Applicants may submit an additional writing sample in either English or Portuguese.

Do I need a Master's degree to apply to the program?
Our program admits students with undergraduate and advanced degrees. An M.A. degree is generally preferred; however, strong candidates with a B.A. should consult the DGS.
Do you offer an online degree or remote learning option?
Our program does not offer an online degree.
Are GRE scores required?
GRE scores are not required but may be submitted.
Are TOEFL exam scores required?
Applicants are not required to submit TOEFL exam scores.
What is the application deadline?
The application deadline is December 15 of every year.
