Minor in Lusophone Studies

The Minor in Lusophone Studies is a program of humanistic study of the Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) world that requires a minimum of 20 credits. Most students take PORT 110: Intensive Portuguese for Spanish Speakers, before moving on to PORT 201 and other courses in the program. Students are strongly encouraged to study abroad in a Portuguese-speaking country.

To declare a minor, please go to the OUE website and fill out the online Declaration of Major/Minor form. Minors in Lusophone Studies meet with the Director of the Portuguese Program, currently Prof. Ana Teixeira, to finalize their declaration and for advising each semester.
